We serve the youth of the world through philanthropic initiatives by providing educational opportunities through scholarships and medical & healthcare, and through the arts.
Welcome to the
Parrish Charitable Foundation
We are setting the groundwork, for a philanthropic organization that has a solid financial foundation. We want this charity to be around for decades. Now, we have a global footprint, and we envision continued growth. We are making a difference in communities where we do business, and in communities not in our marketplace. We are providing a “Way Up and a Way Out” for youth in underserved communities.
“Your Vision must be greater than the window you are looking thru.”
~ JAY-Z [Entertainer & Business Mogul]
Our mission is based on Luke 12:48….”To whom much is given, much is required”.
Thru hard work, and God’s Will, our family has been blessed with a successful business for over 30 plus years. We want to turn our success into substance. Our charitable organization, Parrish Charitable Foundation, is committed to making a difference in the community.
We focus our contributions and resources toward children, especially in underserved communities. We support educational opportunities, we support the arts, we support athletics and healthcare. We want to change and improve the odds in the underserved communities. We want to make a difference.
“I’ve always looked at the world and thought, what can I do next? How can we fix it ? And that’s still how I look at the world, because there is so much to do.”
~ Harry Belafonte [Entertainer & Activist]
Over the past five years we have given over $150k per year in scholarships to students in underserved communities. By providing financial assistance, we are creating opportunities, so that students can get their education, and have a better chance to enjoy the American Dream.
Our medical clinic in Ft. Portal, Uganda “The John and Marie Parrish Clinic” serves over 6,000 orphans per year. They are orphans because their parents have died from HIV or AIDS. This clinic opened in 2015.
We are the number two investor in the Re-Image Red Bird Mall project. Where a public and private partnership with the city of Dallas was created to reimage a run down shopping mall. The Re-image Red Bird Mall partnership with UT SoWest and Parkland Hospital systems, now has more than 200,000 square feet of medical services and clinical space in the southern sector of Dallas.
We have given one of the largest financial gifts ever to historic HBCU, Fisk University, in Nashville TN. This gift funded the building of the Parrish Career Planning and Development Center. This is the first building built in over 40 plus years on this campus. It was dedicated on April 22nd of 2023.
“And most importantly, go back to our/your communities, invest your time and resources, help rebuild them, help strengthen them, help change them. We all have to do better.”
~ LeBron James [Professional Athlete, Businessman & Activist]
