TEXAS RANGERS NAME FIVE STUDENTS SELECTED FOR 2025 CHARLEY PRIDE FELLOWSHIP PRESENTED BY PARRISH CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

Fellows to be recognized on-field prior to Rangers-Blue Jays game at Globe Life Field

Arlington, Texas – The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation today announced the five students selected to participate in this year’s Charley Pride Fellowship program presented by the Parrish Charitable Foundation. Now in its fifth year, the program will again see a group of college students complete a 10-week paid internship rotation across various departments within the Texas Rangers front office.

Created in honor of the late country music star and close friend of the Texas Rangers organization, Charley Pride, the program aims to build a launching pad for students looking to gain experience in a Major League Baseball front office.

The 2025 Charley Pride Fellows were selected after an extensive application and interview process by a selection committee formed by the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. This year’s fellows will begin their paid internships at Globe Life Field today with the program concluding on Friday, August 1.

Roland Parrish, a prominent Dallas businessman and philanthropist, and his Parrish Charitable Foundation are partnering with the Rangers Foundation in the Charley Pride Fellowship Program for a fifth consecutive year.

“We at the Parrish Charitable Foundation are pleased to continue our Partnership with the Texas Rangers and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation in sponsoring the Charley Pride Scholars internship program,” said Parrish.

“One of our core values is to create opportunities for students from underserved communities to be exposed to strong academic and unique business experiences. This partnership allows students to have a unique, hands-on experience with a world-class Major League Baseball organization.”

Over the first four years of the fellowship program, 20 individuals have participated, receiving extensive experience in the baseball and business departments of the Rangers’ organization.

Several of the Charley Pride Fellows from the first four classes have already gone on to work in the sports and entertainment field, including Josh Marcellus (REV Entertainment), Kendall Coleman (Milwaukee Brewers), Cornysia Island (Graduate Assistant Coach for University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Volleyball), Neemekh Mudvari (Telemundo Houston), Alexandria Brown (WFAA), and Jordan Thomas (Long Island Nets).

The five students selected for the 2025 fellowship will be recognized during pre-game ceremonies at Globe Life Field tomorrow, May 28, ahead of the Rangers-Blue Jays game at 7:05 p.m.
