2025 TEXAS BLACK SPORTS HALL OF FAME

For over a decade, Roland Parrish has served as the title sponsor of the Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame. This year’s class is packed with star power! Headlined by Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson of TCU and Waco University High School. The number one overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft Larry Johnson of Dallas Skyline. Along with the trail blazing and groundbreaking pro sports executive, Cynt Marshall.

In addition to the headliners, the exceptional group of outstanding achievers includes Gladys Lee, Michelle Carter, Calvin Murray, Derrick James, Greg Williams, and Super Bowl XXX MVP Larry Brown. Harvey Armstrong, Eugene Lockhart Jr, Ken Washington, Harold Cash and the late great Fritz Pollard round out this outstanding class. The recipient of the Roland Parrish Legend Award is the now retired, former CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, the incomparable Cynt Marshall.

The Legends Reception will be held at the African American Museum, Friday February 28th at 6:30pm. Then the Induction Ceremony will take place the following day, Saturday March 1st at 11:30am at the Dallas Renaissance Hotel.
