2025 Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame

The 2025 inductees of the Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame came together for the legend’s reception and the induction ceremony to conclude Black History month and begin Woman’s history month. Fitting since groundbreaking businesswoman, philanthropist, and author Cynt Marshall, former CEO of the Dallas Mavericks received the Roland Parrish Legend Award. Cynt along with other superstars were honored in this annual spectacle.

Pro Football Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson of TCU and Waco University was among the headliners for this star-studded class.

CBS TEXAS covered this event where it was highlighted on their morning show. For over a decade, Roland Parrish Restaurants as served as the title sponsor for this event. In addition to the previous mentioned, the remaining outstanding achievers included Gladys Lee, Michelle Carter, Calvin Murray, Derrick James, Greg Williams, and Super Bowl XXX MVP Larry Brown. Harvey Armstrong, Eugene Lockhart Jr., Ken Washington, Harold Cash and the Late Great Fritz Pollard.

This power pack class celebrated one another, sharing stories of glory, joy, and laughter. Next year’s event will be held in Q1 of 2026.
