Roland Parrish served as host of the inaugural Parrish Best Southwest Relays, as the Parrish Charitable foundation donated 50K towards the participating AAU Track Teams.
Local, city, state officials along with international dignitaries were a part of the celebration in DeSoto at Eagle Stadium. 1968 Olympian, activist, and icon John Carlos was the events guest of honor.
The donated funds will assist in creating travel arrangements for the Junior Olympics later summer of 2024.
