Taylor Toynes and Xavier Henderson commission mural for the founders of the Parrish Charitable Foundation.

The Parrish Charitable Foundation has backed and supported ‘For Oak Cliff’ since the two entities were introduced years ago. ‘For Oak Cliff’ is a, culturally relevant non-profit team that serves thousands with various programs aimed to liberate residence from systematic oppression through a culture of education with various programs to pour positivity, knowledge, and wisdom back into an underserved community. Taylor Toynes and Xavier Henderson have spent the last decade plus building this remarkable resource for those in need. The PCF has made various contributions to their cause, including refurbishing the swimming pool at their facility. As a show of appreciation, For Oak Cliff teamed up with Jeremy Biggers – award winning creator, and renowned artist to create a mural immortalizing Roland and Jewel Parrish.

Revealed on Juneteenth at their annual Memorial Day Weekend Classic. Mr. & Mrs. Parrish were pleasantly surprised to see their faces massively illustrated for all to see for years to come.
