It was a celebration of incredible contributions made by extraordinary women in the metroplex. The 2025 Great Conversation for Women was constructed by the Dallas Examiner’s own Ms. Mollie Belt, who’s dedication ensures the invaluable stories from people of color continue to be told. Toska Medlock Lee was also instrumental the organization of the commemoration along with the University of Texas at Arlington.
The history has been documented, the voices have been amplified. Both actions, were combined to celebrate trailblazers, leaders, innovators, modern change makers and historical icons. A group that has impacted society in a way that cannot be overstated.
Among those celebrated were the Honorable Jasmine Crockett, Linda Lydia, Kiyundra Jones, Dr. Lucretia Facen, Dianne Gibson, Carolyn Hayden-Garner, DeMetrus Sampson, Dr. Tamara Brown, Kimberly Bizor Tolber and the Honerable Helen Giddings.
CBS Texas on-air personality Ro Parrish served as the host for this event. Infusing positivity, playful humor, and inspiration that echoed all that were honored.
