Texas Rangers Foundation Partnership

In 2019 the Parrish Charitable Foundation partnered with the Texas Rangers Foundation to sponsor the Charley Pride Fellowship program. With the visions of all three entities aligned, there was an emphasis on being inclusive since minorities are under-represented in the front offices of professional sports.

This program places a priority and a premium on qualified minority candidates who apply. The ten-week journey allows a group of select young professionals an opportunity to explore all facets of a professional franchise.

Each individual selects their areas of focus, then will perform entry-level roles within that department. A ‘Charlie Pride Fellow’ has the latitude to choose three of the following: Baseball Operations, Business Analytics, Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, REV Entertainment, Ballpark Entertainment, Promotion & Production, Ticket Operations, Ticket Sales, Premium Services, Business Partnerships, and Communications. Individuals who have been exposed to this program achieved success after moving on. Many have gone on to find employment with the Rangers, or other professional franchises nationwide.

Neemekh Mudvari who was a member of the inaugural class, recently secured employment with Telemudo and captured his first Emmy Award.

The foundation sponsored travel accommodations and tickets to the World Series, where the 2023 class witnessed the Rangers capture their first championship.

If you would like to apply, applications for this season can be submitted from now until Monday, April 1st 2024
