Band Philanthropy

In 2022, The Parrish Family Charitable foundation awarded over $200,000 in scholarship funding to students in the state of Texas. As the first Friday in September of 2023 arrived, so did the 3rd annual Roland Parrish Celebrity Golf Tournament. There, the Parrish Charitable Foundation awarded an additional $50,000 to Dallas ISD Bands. The Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, Carter, Kimball, Lincoln, Madison, North Dallas, Pinkston, Roosevelt, Samuel, and Seagoville all were recipients of the monetary support. As for the funds raised for the golf tournament, every penny captured will be redistributed to students in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area via scholarships over the next year.
