Since 2017 the Parrish Charitable Foundation established an endowment with St. Philips School & Community Center, ushering in their unique annual speaker series during the Destiny Awards. Each year, the speaker is selected and sponsored by the Parrish Charitable Foundation. Since the PCF has been involved, each event has sold out quickly, raising significant funds for St. Philips. The speaker is one who is culturally relevant across all demographics, has received notable accolades and achieved considerable success in their chosen profession. Along with one who has demonstrated philanthropy consistently. Past keynote speakers include Cicely Tyson, Soledad O’Brien, Taraji P. Henson, Viola Davis, Isabelle Wilkerson, Cornel West, Emmitt Smith, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Alex Rodriguez, Sterling K. Brown, and Shaquille O’Neal.
