In the 2022 edition of the Parrish Family Destiny Award Luncheon, the keynote speaker was Hall of Famer, business mogul, philanthropist, and the biggest kid on the planet, Shaquille O’Neal. Shaq was joined on stage by NBA Champion and entrepreneur Avery Johnson for a conversation. The two discussed all things from Shaq’s playing days to business deals, to family life, Inside the NBA, and his time being named to the McDonalds All-American team in 1989. The Parrish Charitable Foundation presented Shaq with a custom made McD All-American jacket, since he never received one due to him being a late addition to the team. The jacket was a substantial upgrade from the original jacket issued. It included Shaq’s career hoops accolades on the sleeves, his game jersey number and name on back, and his parents’ names inscribed on the inside.
